Background Summary

I am Flossy Azu, an accomplished educator with a rich background in various aspects of international education and business management. My career is marked by a blend of teaching, consulting, and entrepreneurship. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology & Education from Mt. Holyoke College and a Master's in International Education Policy from Harvard.

I currently serve as the Head of School at Safari International School, Cantonments, where I lead a diverse and inclusive learning community. In this role, I have overseen the integration of Cambridge and IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) curricula, promoting a holistic approach to education that balances academic excellence with social-emotional learning. I have spearheaded the development of a robust Special Education Program, collaborating with families, special education coordinators, and clinical psychologists to ensure that every learner’s unique needs are met. My focus on personalized learning, inclusive teaching practices, and collaborative goal-setting has transformed Safari International School into a nurturing and innovative educational space.

Beyond Safari International School, I have been a Managing Partner at House of Stole in Ghana, where I scaled business operations, led strategic communications, and developed growth strategies that increased client engagement. My role as an Educational Consultant with Intullect Ghana further highlights my ability to provide personalized education planning and advising, empowering students to achieve their academic goals.

My diverse experience also includes leadership roles such as Alumni Relations Director and Communications Director at SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College, where I led community engagement, strategic communications, and alumni relations. I have designed global education strategies as a Programs Fellow at the Varkey Foundation in London and developed cross-cultural curricula as an English Immersion Lead Teacher at Meysen Academy in Japan.

I am also the founder of The Pepper, a food services brand, and maintain a strong presence in community service and educational projects. My skill set spans strategic planning, public relations, leadership, and program management. I am passionate about fostering inclusive, learner-centered environments where students can thrive both academically and personally. My educational philosophy emphasizes holistic development, continuous improvement, and the transformative power of education.
